The student must present a 28-day bank statement covering nine months’ worth of living expenses and, if any, unpaid tuition. If the university is located in Greater London, living expenses would come to £1,265 per month. £11,385 is the most that you will require to cover your living expenses.
As an illustration:
Your tuition for a one-year Master’s program is £14,500, and you have already paid your £4,000 deposit and an additional £2,000 toward your costs.
You need to provide evidence of £11,385.00 (£1,265 × 9 months) for living expenses and £8,500 (£14,500 – £4000 – £2000) for tuition. You must present a total of £19,885.00 (£8,500 + £11,385) for upkeep.
This money cannot decrease below the required amount during the 28-day period.
